River Sands 10 Holiday Holiday Home is a new house sleeping 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed and bathroom en-suite. This bedroom has a sliding door into the garden from where you can enjoy looking at the magnificent mountain views, nature reserve and river estuary. To the right, only 350 meters away, is the sea. One of the other two bedrooms has twin beds and the other a double bunk bed. These two bedrooms share the 2nd bathroom which has a shower, toilet etc. The lounge / dining area is open plan with a sliding door to the covered verandah where you can relax next to the natural fynbos garden and watch the abundant bird life in the estuary, and a fantastic view of Trappieskop mountain. There is a large screen TV, VCR and a Hi-Fi with radio/tape/CD Player. The kitchen is well equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans etc. The washing machine and tumble drier are in the single garage which will also house a medium sized car. Linen, bedding and bath/hand towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. More Information This home away from home is equipped with an alarm system to protect your and our belongings, and forms part of a 12 house security complex with electronically controlled gates. The area is safe and peaceful and overlooks the Lower Silvermine River Estuary and nature reserve. It is only 350 metres to the Clovelly beach in the Fish Hoek Bay, part of the False Bay coast. You will only be a 10 minute walk to a supermarket and all the shops in Fish Hoek and a variety of restaurants. In Fish Hoek you have all the facilities of banks, petrol (gas) stations, laundry and many other shops. Cinemas are about 6 kilometres away in a large shopping mall (for the shopaholics). A 10 kilometre drive reaches the Atlantic side of the peninsula with its ideal surfing waves that are often pounding the shores. River Sands 10 Holiday House is only a 30 minute drive from Cape Town City Centre. It is about 45 minutes to Cape Town International Airport and we can arrange to collect you from the airport on you arrival. You will be ideally situated to explore the Cape Peninsula. The Cape "Wine Routes" are also within an easy drive from Fish Hoek where you will have the opportunity to visit numerous wine farms, sample and purchase their wines. Many wine farms also have restaurant facilities and other attractions.
