The fells and footpaths that surround Artlegarth are a paradise for walking and cycling, whether your idea of a good walk is a stiff mountain climb or a meander along a gentle valley. Walkers can access the hills direct from Artlegarth. The Howgills offer unrivalled walking with spectacular views in an un-crowded area
