The home is fully equipped with snorkel gear, boogie boards, and lots more. It was designed to be cooled by the gentle but also offers air conditioned bedrooms. All new in 2001.

The ocean is a short stroll away (just past 2 homes) then a half block to Brennecke Beach, a popular body surfing spot. Adjacent Poipu Beach is known for its protected bays, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There are also three surf breaks on the outer reefs. It is the perfect Poipu vacation rental home for a couple, family or group.

Enjoy relaxed island living watching the sun sparkle on the blue pacific from the living room and lanai. Aikane Kauai is centrally located within walking distance to 3 restaurants and a short drive to several others. Other attractions and activities offered in the Poipu area include 2 Robert Trent Jones designed golf courses (Kiahuna and the Poipu Bay Golf Course, home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf at the Hyatt Regency Hotel), fishing, horseback riding, tennis, hiking, and shopping.

There is a king bed in the master suite, twins in the other two bedrooms, and a queen size sofa sleeper in the family room. We have special doublers so the twins can be pulled together to create comfortable kings if you prefer. We'll have everything set up to your preferences prior to arrival.

Local Area Details

Walk out the front door past 2 homes and you're at the ocean. Walk along the coast past 3 more homes and you're at Brennecke's Beach and the eastern end of Poipu Beach Park. You will find the following within a block of the house: 2 sandy beaches for snorkeling, swimming, fishing and body boarding, a grassy area for beach picnics and a fine Italian restaurant.

Within 2 blocks: More beaches and bays, surf shop, deli and another good restaurant. Within a mile: Poipu Village Shopping Center, 2 Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed golf courses (Kiahuna and the Poipu Bay Golf Course, home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf), horseback riding, hiking, and 10 more restaurants.
