The family house is situated in half an acre of garden overlooking the wetlands with a Sea View at St Lucia Estuary, Kwa Zulu Natal. St Lucia Is a World Heritage Site. The house has 3 bedrooms main en suite, with a separate shower and toilet and a further bathroom. There is a lounge, diningroom and breezeway, and a fully equipped kitchen )stove, microwave, deepfreeze). Bed linen is supplied, but guests are requested to bring their own bath towels and beach towels.

Local Area Details

Fishinh in the St LUcia Estuary and in the Indian Ocean. St Lucia is a World Heritage Site, and is situated in a Game Reserve. There are magnificenbt sightings of birds, such as Herons, Kites, Hornbills, Livingstone Louries, Swallows nest on the verandah every summer. There are walks in the vicinity. The St Lucia Lake is populated with crocodiles and hippos and a boat trip up the Lake is well worth taking.A short drive (20km) on a tar road takes you to Cape Vidal, where there is a beach protected by a reef and safe bathing and snoprkelling, The beach at St Lucia is 1 km away, and swimming and suntanning is available. The Games Reserves of Hluhluwe and Umfolosi are about a one hour drive away. There you can see the Big Five. There are of course rhinos, elephant, an assortment of buck, zebra, and wildebeest to be seen on the drive to Cape Vidal. Hippo are known to wander around the area ar night.
