Casa Felipe is a large three bedroomed house with spacious lounge and luxuriously fitted kitchen. This accommodation will comfortably sleep a large family or a group of friends (up to 7 people). Two bedrooms open out onto the balcony with stunning, uninterrupted views of the sea and mountains. The house is situated in a small street, close to all the village amenities, the beaches and the Club Laurel pool and restaurant. It is fortunate to be on one of the easier access roads (some areas are a challenging climb) and fronts onto the banana plantation.

The ground floor has a large, open, combined lounge, dining and kitchen area. There are also television, video and md/cd player. The kitchen is newly installed with stunning stone worktop. It is fully fitted with oven, ceramic hob, and a large fridge/freezer. The washing machine is located in the interior room, with drying space here or on the balcony.

Casa Felipe is in the Laguna area of Playa Santiago on the south coast of La Gomera. It is only 40 minutes away from the capital, San Sebastian, where you can reach the island by fast-cat, or ferry. Santiago has a small airport, only a couple of minutes drive from the house.

Local Area Details

The beaches at Playa de Santiago are amongst the best on the island (other good beaches are at Valle Gran Rey and San Sebastian). The fishing harbour provides protection from the open ocean and therefore allows for safe swimming, even for children. The beautifully clean and clear waters make snorkelling an unimaginable delight as tropical coloured fish swim right into the shallow waters.

There are diving opportunities for beginners and the experienced, and boat trips provide the opportunity to see the most stunning scenery and geology of the island, chances to see the dolphins and other cetaceans, and day-trips of swimming and tuna fishing. Fishing boats can be hired for your own fishing trips.

The island has the most fantastic walks for enthusiastic walkers. There are walks suitable for all levels of ability, some directly from the door of the house, and many, many more from other origins on the island. There are excellent walking guides and information.
