Umgeni Park is situated along the Umgeni River and is very central, located in between Umhlanga (12 kms) and central Durban (5 km). It is just a 5 minute drive from the beach front and Durban Country Club, which offers one of South Africa's best golf courses. The area has plenty to offer - catch some sun, visit the Umgeni Bird Park with over 3000 exotic and indigenous birds (just 2 minutes drive), go diving at Aliwal Shoal, visit the new UShaka (world class aquarium), experience some traditional Zulu culture at Phezulu Safari Park (Botha's Hill), enjoy a microlight flight at Ballito (tel 083 597 4222), visit the Bat Cente with it's small craft centre, go shopping at either Gateway or Musgrave Centre or enjoy a taste sensation at Cafe Fish, Splashes or the Bangkok Wok.
