Local Area Details

There is easy access to waymarked walking trails for all abilities : towards the hamlets of Cominac or Lascoste, Mont Picou or the Col Dret. The house is 20 minutes from Guzet ski station and less than 8 kms from the spa town of Aulus les Bains and the villages of Oust and Seix. In the immediately vicinity you can cycle or mountain bike, or fish in the trout streams nearby.

The region offers numerous other walks that can be quickly reached by car. Good trout fishing is within walking distance, and you can go horseriding, cycling and mountain biking in and around Ercé. Ercé has an unusual link with the USA through the "montreurs d'ours" of long ago; you might be surprised at the number of inhabitants who will greet you in English.
