Local Area DetailsThe Heronsrest is located in the best fishing area of the Florida Keys. Hire a professional fishing guide to catch tarpon, bonefish, permit on the flats. Ocean fishing produces king fish, sailfish, marlin, wahoo, bonita, tuna. Use light tackle to fish the wrecks for amberjack, grouper, snapper. Snorkel or scuba the many coral reefs in this area. Bicycle riding is available on bicycle paths. Bird watching is fantastic, we are in the only Great White Heron Refuge in America.
