The Catskill Mountain View House was newly acquired in February 2004. It sits on three acres of grounds and is surrounded by farmers' fields which will never be developed due to environmental easements. It has views of the Catskill Mountains to the West. The sunset over these mountains can be seen from the the large deck, the kitchen, and the master bedroom. We are two hours from New York City and just minutes away from Bard College (with its new Fisher Center for the Performing Arts) and Rhinebeck with its many fine restaurants and shops. We are also thirty minutes from Woodstock and fifteen minutes from Kingston and Hudson. The area is ripe with myriad antique shops, wineries, historic sites, fine hiking opportunities, and much more. We are three miles from Red Hook's recreation park and pool. Red Hook itself is a charming small town to walk about with many points of interest. The house is furnished in period antiques from the twenties to the fifties (all the beds and appliances are new however). Each room has many prints and samplers each with its own theme; The Bird Room, The Cat Room, Flower Room, etc. Everything is freshly painted and the carpeting and tiling are new also.
