Clistivan is a breton longere (stone longhouse) beautifully converted to the highest specifications. We offer two comfortable and spacious beamed cottages with a fenced garden, baby equipment, TV and video, washing machine, microwave, dish-washer etc.
Accommodating 4/5, they provide; 1 double bedroom, 1 twin, mezzanine with bed-settee, bathroom, living room, and fully equiped kitchen. The cottages are safe, clean, with modern facilities, and very welcoming to young children. Babysitting is also available. No smoking please.
Clistivan is in a very tranquil setting, surrounded by fields, but only 10 minutes walk from the village of La Chapelle Neuve with its shop, bar/restaurant, etc. There are lovely walks and cycle rides starting from the country lane beside the gite, and rabbits, lizards, butterflies and birds all around.
The cottages are placed on the brow of a hill, with beautiful panoramic views. You can admire the magnificent sunsets while having bar-be-ques during the long evenings (an extra hour of sunlight compared to GMT).
Clistivan is a 5 minute drive from the local market town Baud where there are a good range of shops, supermarkets, a swimming pool, cinema, and restaurants. You can still eat a three-course meal for less than 10 euros a head including drinks! Try the Breton specialities of crepes and cider, or the marvellous seafood.
The gite is situated 25 minutes north of the coastal city of Vannes, and an hour and three-quarters from the port of St. Malo. There is easy access to medieval cities, megaliths dating from 3000 BC, and of course the beautiful sandy beaches of the Morbihan coast, thanks to uncrowded dual carriageways.
