Property Details of Crete Cottage

Our holiday eco-cottage is a free standing two-story construction of a wooden framework with clay/straw filling and earth roof. It has 3 generous double rooms (18m²) with shower and a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, electric cooker, coffee machine and washing machine use etc..,the inside is painted with a casein-glaze - external walls are plastered with clay, whey and lime, which makes the colour of the clay visible. The largest part of the furnishing and the floor are treated with hard wax, doors and windows with water based varnish. The ground floors are covered with rough marble tiles, which were treated with hard wax. The double beds can be divided and placed separately. The bath-rooms have all a combined toilet ? bidet and shower.

The eco - cottage is situated in the quiet setting of Anidri, on the south coast of Crete in the midst of a traditionally cultivated landscape (intended as a future nature preserve) 1 km from the sea and 3,5 km from the tourist centre of Paleohora with its sandy beach, supermarkets, health food store, surf and dive-station, open-air-cinema-disco, coffee houses and shops.
