Property Details of Bahamas Cottage
There are cathedral ceilings throughout and the floors are white tile. Due to the decks and the amount of glass, you feel like you are outside from within the house. The large living, dining and kitchen areas are open and airy and overlook the beach. The furnishings are island style (rattan) and good taste is evident everywhere. Ocean breezes flow right through. There is air conditioning in all bedrooms and tropical fans in every room.
The 3 bedrooms consist of kings in 2 and twins in 1. There are 2 bathrooms. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a microwave oven and the dining table seats 6. There is a stereo system, TV/VCR and bookcase of books in the living room.
Other amenities include telephone, washer and dryer and a gas BBQ grill on the deck.
Local Area DetailsHarbour Island is located just off the tip of the large island of Eleuthera in the central Bahamas. It's village of Dunmore Town was founded by the British in the 1700's. Most of the homes built in the 1700's and 1800's remain and have been restored and several have become small inns with bars and restaurants. Most of these feature patios and porches for outside dining and socializing.
Harbour Island is often described as the undiscovered "Nantucket" of the Bahamas (with palm trees and tropical flowers everywhere). It is 3 1/2 miles long and 1/2 mile wide and everybody gets around by bike, golf cart, or by walking. Harbour Island has been featured in many magazines such as "Town and Country", "Gourmet", "Caribbean Travel & Life", and "Islands".
Third Reef House is right on the famous 3-mile long pink sand beach and its setting is spectacular. There are decks on 3 sides of the house and a patio on the front side of the house (see photo). No matter where the sun or wind, there is always a comfortable place to sit or dine outside. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own deck. There is a hammock overlooking the ocean and great privacy from adjoining properties

50% deposit to reserve by check payable to C.B. Rentals There is a damage deposit of $400 which will be returned after the rental provided there were no long distance telephone charges and no damage was done other than normal wear and tear. Final Payment due 5 weeks prior to arrival. Cancellation Policy: If cancellation occurs more than 3 months prior to arrival, then deposit refunded less $50 cancellation fee. If less than 3 months notice then refund given only when another renter can be obtained less the $50 fee.
