LA TANIERE is built with local stones and wood of larch on a South slope in a typical village. It stand 30 m above the whole village . From the balcony and the sun terrace you benefit from an exceptional view and site.
LA TANIERE : The design and the decoration of the building create a typical mountain atmosphere. Life is pleasant at La Tani?re and you will always have pleasure to be there in the evening for dinner around common tables and a wood fire to meet other people.
LA TANIERE is designed and managed to receive you in a spirit of closeness and conviviality.(33 persons maximum) . The atmosphere inside depends on you (and not on a kind organizer !...).
LA TANIERE meets all standards of comfort required by the quality agrement of GITES DE FRANCE (classified 3 ?pis), LA GRANDE TRAVERSEE DES ALPES and B and B .
LA TANIERE offers in addition a place to live without TV on communal areas !...

Page 4 :ACCOMODATION
Half board accomodation :
Chalet gite de s?jour with a good comfort including 10 rooms from 2 to 6 persons equipped with shower or bath and individual toilet ( toilets on the floor for larger rooms) and pleasant communal areas including a room with cooking facilities ( fridge, cooker, dresser ...) which can be used from 11.30 am till 15 pm. Only small rooms with shower look out on the mountains. ( but we have a pleasant sun terrace in front of the building in compensation ! )
Our price per person and per week include :
- cleaning of bedrooms
- hearty family dinner served at 19.30 pm around tables of 10 persons each including : first courses, a main dish, cheese and dessert.

- Breakfast between 8 am and 10 am including : tea, coffee, chocolate, honey of VALMEINIER, marmelades, bread, croissant and orange juice.
- a welcomming aperitif : Kir with Appremont white wine of Savoie and orange juice for the children.
- a raclette( Pork butcher?s and cheese dish ).
- access to cooking facilities for the Lunch.
- sun terraces and terraces provided with chairs, deckchairs, tennis table and a giant chessboard ( in Summer only).
- visitor tax.
- sheets ( hand towels not supplied).
- drier + washing machine.
- premise for skis and premise for shoes heated .
All drinks can be served with an extra charge on the terrace during Summer, or inside during Winter.

Page 5 RECEPTION

We receive you at La Tani?re from 14 .pm to 19 .pm on the day of your arrival. Half board week?s stays are meant from Saturday 14 .pm till Saturday 10.am . Please inform us if you are obliged to arrive late . Please note that dinner is served at 19.30.pm . After 22 ;pm everyone is requested to respect the sleep of other people . After this time only residents can enter thanks to an access code and an entryphone.

TO COME TO LA TANIERE

- By road : Motorway exit A43 at 12 Kms . From CHAMBERY : direction TORINO up to exit SAINT MICHEL DE MAURIENNE and after direction VALMEINIER VILLAGE 1500 up to LA VILLE DESSUS.
- By plane : LYON SATOLAS at 200 Kms or GENEVA COINTRAIN at 200 Kms or GRENOBLE SAINT GEOIR at 170 Kms or CHAMBERY at 95 Kms, and rent a car.
- By train : TGV from PARIS up TO SAINT MICHEL DE VALLOIRE (4 hours) every Saturday . Connection by buses. Or EUROSTAR up toCHAMBERY.

ACTVITIES AND SERVICES

In particular : Tourist information Centre ( 33 479 59 53 69 FAX 33 479 59 20 05 , cinema, shops, restaurants, tennis courts and swimming pool in Summer and all mountain leisure actvities. Day nursery and Club for children Physician and pro chemist at Valmeinier, chemist at Valloire.
In Winter : altitude restaurants, snow kindergarten ( for children over 3 years) Ski school etc etc .


MISCELLEANOUS

- Animals : our animal friends are not allowed in the bedroom. They are tolerate in the communal areas. During Summer time, ski local can bu used for the dog.
- shoes : only slippers and flat shoes are allowed . Do not forget it !
- Smoking : you are asked not to smoke in the bedrooms.
- photographs (in Winter) : Do not forget them for your ski pass.

Page 2 : VALMEINIER VALLOIRE, a charming mountain resort located between the massifs of VANOISE (3800m) and ECRINS(4200m) from 1500 m to 3200 m altitude will attract you in all seasons.

WINTER : On-pist skiing, off-piste skiing, hiking, cross country skiing, monoskiing, surfing, paragliding, handgliding, microlight(ULM), Ice skating.
The whole field VALLOIRE VALMEINIER represents : 160 Kilom?tres of pistes and 1600 Hectares of skiing area, 36 skilift, 90 pistes, 370 snow canons, a variation in level of 1200 meters.
La Tani?re is located in the middle of skiing area. Several pistes meet at 50 meters above La Tani?re. Two chairlift are located at 100 m uphill. Link with the field of VAL THORENS 15 Kms far. (The greatest ski area of the world)

SUMMER : Farniente on a deck chair on the terrace with panoramic views, hike mountain bike, climbing ( wall and training rock), paragliding, tennis and swimming pool at 100 m, summer skiing at COL DE L?ISERAN.
VALMEINIER-VALLOIRE is a sunny area, surrounded by ten cols and peaks, large mountain pastures, forests of larch trees, torrents and lakes. They shelter an extraordinary animal life end flora.
Hiking towards GROS CREY, COL DES MARCHES, THABOR(3200m),CERCES, NEVACHE, and VALLEE STRETA ; starting from VALLOIRE : AIGUILLES D?ARVES, GRAND GALIBIER . And all around :
Brian?on, La Grave and LA MEIGE(4000m), the lakes of Chambon, Bourget, Mont Cenis. And also : Suza, la Haute Maurienne, Massif of Chartreuse.
