Twynholm is a thriving community, just three miles from the busy harbour town of Kirkcudbright. Just off the main Gretna to Stranraer Euro Route 13 miles South of Castle Douglas.

Borgue and Gatehouse are our close neighbours with Ayr, Dumfries ,Dalbeattie Castle Douglas, Newton Stewart, Wigtown and Stranrear all within an hours drive.

Golf, Fishing, Horse Riding, Cycling, Walking, Tennis and much more are catered for withing close proximity. Kirkcudbright has a swimming pool and the beach is never far away.

We have many famous gardens open to the public. Threave Gardens in Castle Douglas, Logan Gardens near Stranraer are just two to mention.

Castle Douglas is our Food Town, Kirkcudbright our Artists Town and Wigtown our Booktown. There are many festivals and events held in this area throughout the summer season. Kirkcudbright has a Jazz Festval in June, Dundrennan the Wickerman Festival in September and Wigton celebrates books all year round.
