Surfers all over the world know of Angourie, where some have chosen to reside. It is a quiet village, surrounded by National park and unspoilt bush and beaches. The freshwater Blue Pool is just several metres from the ocean. Winter waves are great and the rest of the year the beach and surf are beautiful. There is a corner store, takeaway and restaurant, local massage therapist and hair dresser, with Yamba and it's shops,restaurants and services only 5 minutes away. Byron Bay was once like Angourie, before the crowds. The best thing is Angourie can't be spoilt because of the National Park.
