Bryson City is a small country town in the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, an unspoiled retreat rich with outdoor activities. A visit to Bryson City and our cabins at Rock Creek will take you back to a simpler, less complicated time. Swain County, of which Bryson City is the county seat, is home to much of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park -- over 40 percent of the Smokies, the world's most visited national park -- can be found in Swain County. You'll discover 6,643 foot high Clingmans Dome, the loftiest peak in the Great Smokies and the second highest in Eastern America, is within the boundaries of the County.
