Forget the expense of a rental car. My Bermuda-style cottage is within a short walk to the best beach in Key West, Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park (I have a beach pass for your family)and two blocks from the famed Duval Street with its wonderful restaurants (e.g. Mangoes), unique shops (e.g. Fast Buck Freddies), interesting art galleries, famous bars (e.g. Sloppy Joe's) and not your mother's night clubs (e.g. 801 Bourbon). The Truman Annex was the former Naval Base when President Harry Truman made it his summer vacation home. The lush foliage with swaying palm trees and beautiful homes are worth an exploratory walk or two.
Local Area DetailsNow what about my place itself? The name, "A Touch of Bermuda in Key West" comes from my time on the island where I decided to buy local paints...turquoise, coral and butter yellow with which to paint my interior in Key West. On the walls are painting from my trips (legal) to Cuba. The furniture is tropical decor while the upstairs master bedroom has a comfortable king bed with an adjacent master bath with double sink. The guest bedroom/reading room downstairs has two comfortable twins. The kitchen with its granite counters is fully equipped and there are double french doors leading from the living room and dining room to our large back deck overlooking a small tropical garden.
