Set in 40 acres of olive groves, oak woods and fields of wildflowers, Villa Piccola is a jewel of peace and tranquillity. A place to dream of, this stone built house has been renovated to the highest ecological standards whilst maintaining its ancient character and serenity.
Floors are oak parquet or terracotta tile, and much of the furniture is antique. Furnishings have been chosen with great care to give a sense of comfort and beauty. All modern wooden fittings are handcrafted to the highest standard.
Little ones are very welcome at our house. In the garden you will find lawns to play on, swings, and even hammocks (if you can get there before the grown-ups). Extra toys, childrens books and video cassettes are all available.
The swimming pool measures 5 x 14 metres and is tucked away in a private nook just beneath the house on its own wide, stone-paved terrace - ideal for basking in the glorious Tuscan sunshine. For those who prefer shade there is a large overhanging fig tree to one side and umbrellas. The shallow end has steps the width of the pool ideal for young children to play on. There is a convenient shower with hot water, and for anyone who fancies a nighttime swim; the pool is lit inside and out.
