We have five luxury lodges within our grounds at Kinnaird House, (Pitlochry, Scotland) so that you too can enjoy life in the countryside. Set within a quiet woodland with abundant wildlife of Perthshire, ( including red squirrel, deer and many birds), you will enjoy peace and tranquility. The newly built self catering Log cabins are of a truly excellent standard and many thoughtful extras are provided. We offer very clean and well maintained accommodation for your holiday or short breaks here in Pitlochry. We have a corporate membership at a local Pitlochry Hotel and Leisure Club where our guests can make unlimited use of the facilities for a small additional charge. There is a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Fitness Centre. In addition Jane offers a wide range of luxury Health & Beauty Spa treatments at Kinnaird House to complete the holiday experience. The self catering log cabins and cottage are reserved for non smokers and unfortunately, much as we love them, we cannot accommodate pets. Our log cabins, located above Pitlochry, in the heart of Perthshire, Scotland, offer luxury accommodation. They are located within a quiet stretch of woodland overlooking the slopes of Ben-y-Vrackie where the landscape is ever changing, never repeated as each day brings new colours and lights. Set in their own secluded area they enjoy uninterrupted views of Strathtummel over open farmland to hills and mountains beyond. There is safe private parking exclusively for guests. The Log cabins are situated on a higher level, the furthest being 60 meters from the parking area. We have designed this so as to create as natural an environment as possible, using the contours of the land there are flat paths and steps. We are happy to help guests with their luggage on arrival and departure days. Specifically designed to take maximum advantage of the panoramic views, our log cabins are uniquely built and architecturally designed. There are double patio doors leading out from the Lounge area onto a spacious and private deck. We have provided outside furniture for summer guests. Each Log cabin has one or two bedrooms, a bathroom with both bath and shower (spa baths are provided in the one bedroom en-suite lodges), a fully equipped kitchen, and open plan living area. They are fully double glazed, with self control electric heating and cosy woodburner. Each Log cabin has the same excellent facilities but has a different interior decoration. We have two Log cabins with 2 bedrooms, these sleep up to four guests. There is an additional two bedroom log cabin which has a sofa bed and this one sleeps up to 6 guests, up to 4 of which can be adults. We also have two new one bedroomed log cabins . These have an en-suite with power shower and whirlpool spa bath. Facilities in each Lodge are as follows: Two bedroom lodges - 6' zip and link king sized bed and twin beds. One bedroom lodges - double bed. A bathroom with bath, shower over, wc and wash hand basin, heated towel rail and additional heater. One bed lodge has spa bath in addition to the above. A spacious open plan living area incorporating a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. Double patio doors leading on to a large private deck with lighting. Outside furniture in the summer months. Cosy woodburner, easily maintained and operated. Additional 24hr self control electric heating throughout. TV , Video player, CD player and a variety of games and books for holiday reading. Full double glazing and high levels of insulation. We provide all cleaning materials, cling film, tin foil, bin bags, tea towels, hand towel and bath mat. The kitchen houses a full oven/grill/hob, microwave oven, fridge ( with small freezer box), dishwasher. There is an ample supply of crockery, cutlery, dishes, pots and pans Free use of washing machine at the main house. Pitlochry and Perthshire are in the geographical centre of Scotland, approximately one and a quarter hour's drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We can be easily reached by road or rail as Pitlochry is on the main trunk road (A9) and main railway line through Scotland. Kinnaird House and Woodland Lodges are located on a peaceful hillside on the A924 heading out of Pitlochry towards Braemar, Kirkmichael and Bridge of Cally. Finding us is very simple and we have safe private parking. From the centre of Pitlochry take the turning into West Moulin Road, this is opposite WH Smith newsagents. Continue up the hill for just under two miles and you will see our sign on the left hand side of the road. Kinnaird House can be seen at this point. The Lodges are up and beyond the house and hidden from view. Check in is generally 4.30pm to 6.00pm, however if you wish to arrive outside these times then please advise us in advance.
