Maple Cabin, recently built, has three bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen and 1 full), two bathrooms, a kitchenette equipped with a full size fridge, griddle, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, a lounge with TV/VCR, and parlor games. Enjoy cooking and eating on the enclosed screened-in deck looking out onto the woodlands. It has a large table , a grill with cooking ring, a roaster oven and an additional gas ring. There is heating and air-conditioning, with ceiling fans in all the rooms and on the deck.
It is comfortable, clean and lovingly decorated with local craft. It is wheel chair accessible.
Bring your horse and stable it 300 yards away in our 26 stall, all wood 10ft*12ft, well-lit and well-ventilated stalls.
A full cooked breakfast may be available at Wildwood Lodge, a Bed and Breakfast in the grounds. Inquire when you check in.
Local Area DetailsNestled between Big South Fork National River and Recreational Area and Pickett State Park and 1/2 hour from Dale Hollow Lake, it is an ideal vacation home for anyone wanting to enjoy the big outdoors. Enjoy hiking, horse back riding, ATVs, fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking, swimming, canoeing, hunting or enjoy the spring flowers, fall foliage, the magnificent bluffs, water falls and river. Big South Fork is the largest equestrian park in the South East USA and there are probably more horses than people!
Unlike the Smokies, you will not meet traffic jams and loads of tourists but find peace and quiet on the beautiful Cumberland Plateau.
