Birding, hiking, biking or hanging out in a hammock, "Far from the Maddening Crowd". 10 minutes by our Water Taxi (included in price)from Okeover Inlet Wharf. Taxi can also carry rented kayaks. Close to well known Desolation Sound Marine Park, a kaykers paradise. Beside Thynne Island Seafoods Shellfish Farm, where you can tour the farm and enjoy a West Coast Shellfish Feast.
Local Area DetailsCottage is on the edge of second growth temperate rain forest. Thors Cove was originaly homesteaded by Swedish pioneers in 1910 and is also a Coast Salish Native archeological "midden". This is area is wild but easily accessible. Connecting inlets support thriving aquaculture (shellfish) industry. Beach combing, birding, swimming and relaxing.
