Our house is a traditional village house in medieval Dolceacqua and is spread over 3 levels.
Level 1 is a large, well equipped kitchen with dining area and fireplace.
Level 2 is the comfortable sitting room with sofa, sofa bed armchair TV and DVD.
Level 3 is the double bedroom and bathroom. (Shower only, no bath)
Inside, the house is very unusual, the ceilings are arched and rough cast and low in one or two places on the stairs.
At the top of the house is a large sun terrace with table, chairs, sunbeds and barbeque area.
There is full central heating.
Local Area DetailsDolceacqua is a small and beautiful town approximately 5 miles inland from the border town of Ventimiglia. The river Nervia runs through the town which is built on both banks. There is an original medieval bridge connecting the two parts of the town made famous in a painting by Monet.
There are several restaurants in the town where you sample the wonderful Ligurian cuisine washed down with the local Rossesse wine.
Within easy reach are the seaside towns and beaches with the usual beach activities. Alternatively you can go inland to the Maritime Alps for wonderful scenery, walks, fishing, canoeing etc.
For winter sports, the ski resort of Limone is about an hour and a half away by car or spectacular railway.

| Weekly price includes all linen, towels, electricity and cleaning at the end of your stay.
Normal changeover day is Saturday but we can be flexible especially out of high season. Also, lets of part weeks will be considered. The nightly cost is 1/7 of the weekly rate plus a one off £15 charge for cleaning. |
