A mere 10 minute drive from Motueka, Abel Tasman National Park and Kaiteriteri Beach, Foley's Creek is set on four secluded acres with the Riwaka river as its boundary. Accommodation is provided in the form of two intimate self-contained, self-catering cottages to rent: the Gallery (sleeps 8) and the Hayshed (sleeps 6). Both have one main bedroom plus extra beds in vast open-plan living spaces, and come complete with fully-equipped kitchens and outdoor eating areas, gas barbecues and a TV with DVD/video players. There is a comprehensive video library for you to enjoy, as well as a laundry with washer, drier and iron.
We have plenty of space for children to run around and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, so unwind and enjoy the peaceful, native surroundings.
The accommodation may be of particular interest to trout fishermen as the Riwaka river is packed with Brown Trout - right on your doorstep! The Motueka river, which is even more famous for its trout, is just five minutes away.
Local Area DetailsA 10 mins drive will lead you to the famous Abel Tasman National Park, the golden sands of Kaiteriteri Beach or the Motueka township - full of restaurants, cafes, bars and a cinema. Even closer to Foley's Creek, the Riwaka Resurgence and Crystal Pool are a great place for a swim and a picnic. Not to mention you can enjoy the Riwaka river in your own backyard!
Hikers will be happy to explore both the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, respective homes to the Abel Tasman Coast Track and Heaphy Track Great Walks.
Other activities available in the area include sea kayaking, skydiving, scenic flights, boat cruises, hang-gliding and mountain biking.
Nelson and Golden Bay are just an hour away.
