Local Area Details

Casa Cristina is situated in a superb location, only 5 Km's from Junction 15 of the A22 motorway and enjoys the beautiful tranquillity of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve in the small village of Lagoao near Moncarapacho.

This very quiet and unspoilt area with it's rolling hills and sea views still enjoys the traditional way of life where the local farmers can be seen transporting their goods via horse and cart.

The market town of Moncarapacho with it's Bars and Restaurants serving excellent and reasonably priced food (It is much cheaper than to the west of Faro) is only a 20minute walk away. Here you will also find banks, post office, chemist, doctors, 3-4 Mini Markets and a large supermarket.

The local Beach Island of Fuzeta (4Kms) is one of the best in the Algarve and a 'Must' day out.

Some of the biggest and best water splash parks in Europe are found 25 - 40 minutes away.

Supreme Golf courses such as Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago, Benamor, Quinta da Ria/Cima and Castro Marim are all within 30 minutes of the Villa

There are a number of excellent markets close to Casa Cristina, (detailed list will be in the villa).
On the first Sunday of the month, it is in our local village of Moncarapacho, just a short walk away and near the beach of Fuzeta, the car-boot where you will find some very interesting and unusual items.
Ayamonte, 30mins (the Spanish border) town has a similar market every Saturday.

For those guests who do not want to just stay on the beach or by the pool and want to see more of the original Algarve then a circular drive through Moncarapacho, Est󩬠Olh㯠and Tavira is well worth doing. Again with the A22 link this makes a good half day visit from the more touristy areas.

This is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing holiday, sit or sunbathe around our lovely clear swimming pool.
The sun shines here almost all of the time and there is nothing better on a hot day than taking a dip in the pool to cool off.
