The joc de la pilota (a handball game) is a genuine tradition in the area, and is practised in the streets and in trinquetes (pelota courts). A visit to a pilota game is strongly recommended for those who haven't seen this swift, exciting game played with bare hands. The Safor Mountains boast small rustic villages such as Barx and Marquqera, which are well loved by walkers and cyclists. Fishing and horse riding are also available locally.

The village, Villalonga where you can find all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need, is 5 minutes away. Further activities:Terra Mitica theme park with large rides, a water park and bird park, all lay behind the large resort of Benidorm, approx. 35 minutes from the house.
