Sandi's Place is a fully-furnished studio apartment located on the lower level of our home. It has a bedroom with queen size bed, kitchenette with dining area, bathroom with shower, and a private deck with a tropical garden and mountain view. It's a private and quiet alternative to hotels, condos, and resorts -- and it costs a heck of a lot less!

All linens are provided, and there's even a washer/dryer. The kitchenette is fully-equipped, you have your own bar-b-que out on the deck, and there are spices and condiments to ease your food shopping budget. You'll also enjoy bananas, avocados, pineapples, and other fresh foods grown seasonally on the property. There's a TV with cable, a stereo with radio, CD, and tape player, and a library of island guidebooks and maps. The bathroom, well, it's a bathroom, and it has a shower (no tub); there's also an outside shower -- with hot water.

Some beach gear is available: beach mats, cooler, masks/snorkels, and beach towels. And, our kayaks are available, free of charge, for your use on the nearby Wailua River.

Local Area Details

Sandi's Place is a great home base from which to explore this beautiful Garden Island. In minutes you can drive to jungle and mountain hiking trails, the beaches of the Coconut Coast, or kayaking on the Wailua River. With its central island location, in about an hour you can reach any of the scenic places you've come to see on Kauai. Hiking trails to Sleeping Giant and Opaekaa Falls are even walking distance from the house. And, if you're interested in Kayaking, use our kayaks -- free of charge -- to expore the nearby Wailua River and Secret Falls.

The shopping and restaurants of Kapaa are within a ten-minute drive. And you'll find stores to fill all your needs: from food to necessities to souvenirs. And, there's a wide range of restaurant alternatives from fine cuisine to local plate lunch to vegetarian and vegan -- even McDonalds and Burger King...
