Kilninver is a family owned coastal estate some 8 miles south of Oban. The estate encompasses some 2,300 acres of ground including forests, woodland, open hill and sea-loch foreshore. It provides an excellent base from where to explore the scenic west coast of Argyll. Kilninver offers weekly holiday lets in three traditional stone cottages which occupy secluded positions overlooking the river estuary and Loch Feochan.

Local Area Details

Kilninver can offer salmon and sea-trout fishing on the River Euchar and Lochs Charn, Seil and Feochan.

During the 7th, 8th and 9th Centuries the ancient kings of Scotland were buried on the holy island of Iona. The bodies of the kings were brought to the shore of Loch Feochan and laid out ready to be taken to the island by boat for burial. The "dead man's stone" where the kings were laid awaiting their seaward journey can be found on the foreshore at Kilninver.
