Built in 1799 and restored in 1999 the Coach House has many exposed original beams, together with a unique feature gallery overlooking the bedroom area. It is comfortably furnished to a high standard with panoramic views over the surrounding Wealden ridges and valleys.

Rushlake Green is situated in the heart of unspoilt Sussex countryside. There are walks immediately from the cottage, bird watching on Pevensey Marshes and Cuckmere Haven and cycling on the nearby Cuckoo Trail. There are also many national and private gardens open to the public including Sissinghurst, Merriments, Pashley Manor and Sheffield Park. Music lovers can enjoy Glyndebourne, Mayfield, Chiddingly and Battle Festivals. Other historic places to visit include the castles at Bodiam, Pevensey and Herstmonceux together with Batemans and Michelham Priory.
The neighbouring small country town of Heathfield has a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants and is approximately 5 miles. There are also three pubs within two miles of the Coach House offering excellent food and the village of Rushlake Green has its own shop and post office.
For day trips to London, Etchingham Station has a journey time of approximately 65 minutes and Polegate station provides a service to Ashford International and Gatwick.
The south coast is only 20 minutes drive including Pevensey Beach, Norman's Bay and Seven Sisters County Park providing unspoilt coastline and tranquil countryside.
