Accomodation

A nice light non-smoking room (approx. 10 m²) with an attached guest-bathroom. The accomodation is situated in a quiet area of Düsseldorf with excellent parking possibilities and good public transportation. Basic shopping accessible in the same building (groceries and bakery).

The room is accomodated with a (cable-)TV and video, sleeping-couch (140 x 200), radio, wardrobe and desk. It is also possible to share: access to the internet, bicycle(s), kitchen, balcony.
Breakfast and washing-machine are accessible for a small fee. Smoking allowed on the balcony only.


A second room for an additional 1-2 persons belonging to the same group is available on the same floor. The price will be minus 20% for the second room.

The host family

We are an international flexible family where English, German, and Swedish are spoken fluently. We also speak French, Danish, Norwegian, and a little Spanish. We know the area very well as we already live several years in Düsseldorf, and we have many good tips what one can do here. We have traveled a lot abroad and have used plenty of Bed & Breakfasts ourselves, therefore we would like to give the opportunities to other travelers in our hometown.

Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf is the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and is situated at the Rhine river with the city Cologne in the south. North-east of Düsseldorf the famous cities of the Rhur area are situated. During the 2nd world war over 80 % of the old city (Altstadt) were destroyed, however, Düsseldorf has been reconstructed and is one of Germany's most developed and richest cities.

Lörick - the district

For the locals the area Lörick depicts the lovely beach and outdoor pool at the Rhine river, beautiful meadows, high trees, and white beaches around a picturesque yachting harbour, where in summer-nights barbeques take place.

Location


Only 15 min to the central station and still very close to nature, the Rhine river, the city of Düsseldorf and walking distance to the areas Seestern and Oberkassel. We live in a large modern top floor maisonette with lift, i.e. privacy is guaranteed for our guests. An outdoor pool is 10 min and the indoor pool 15 minutes walking distance away. Other facilities in the proximity: fitness center, shopping center, the beaches of the Rhine river, and a cinema showing several movies in the original language.

Connections with public transport

The metro station Lohweg is located approx. 100 m from the building.

Airport-Guestroom: with local train to the central station and from there with metro U76 in the direction of Krefeld Rheinstraße or metro U74 in the direction of Lörick to station Lohweg (depending on the connection 26 - 45 min)

Central station-Guestroom: direct connection with metro U76 in the direction of Krefeld Rheinstraße or metro U74 in the direction of Lörick to station Lohweg (15 min).

Guestroom-Old City (Altstadt): - direct connection with metro U76 in direction Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof or U74 in direction Holthausen until station Tonhalle (11 min)

Fair-Guestroom: from the fair center (Messe Congress Center) bus 722 in the direction of Vennhauser Allee, station Nordfriedhof, than bus 863 in the direction of Neuss Neusserfurth to station Lohweg (26 min).
