Casa Frey is a typical old stone house recently renovated. The outside has been left untouched while inside it has been converted in 4 apartments. Frey 1 & 2 on the ground floor are both two-bedroom apartments sleeping up to six people. Frey 3 & 4 on the first and second floor are one-bedroom apartments sleeping 2/4 people. Washing machine, TV sat, fully equipped kitchen. Linen and towels provided. Shared garden with out of ground pool (3X6) and Barbecue. (Pool available from mid June until mid September) The house is situated at the edge of the little hamlet of Vacciago immersed in beautiful wooded countryside, though not isolated from other houses. Vacciago is a small paradise, where nature has been conserved. Peace is spread among the XVIII Century buildings and keeps alive the atmosphere of ancient times.

Local Area Details

Lake Orta appears on the map as a little sister to Lake Maggiore, a few kilometres to the west. Hardly well known and well off the main routes, the lake is nevertheless equally beautiful.

The shoreline is dotted with towns and villages full of culture, history, medieval buildings. The beautiful medieval town of Orta lies on the lake?s eastern shore facing the small island of San Giulio.

Filling the town is a network of narrow streets, old houses and a wealth of history, centred on a marvellous open square with restaurants and cafes on one side and the quayside on the other, from which you can reach the island by boat.
