I have a studio apartment on the beach at Torrox Costa, on the Costa del Sol.
It has a fully equipped kitchenette, separate bathroom and a balcony that has been enclosed with glass and can be used as a second bedroom or to simply watch the world go by.
Torrox Costa is about 41km from Malaga airport and about 7km from the main
town of Nerja. The apartment is right on the beach and 3 minutes walk from the new Promenade with its wide selection of restaurants and cafes.
The bus/coach stop is a couple of minutes walk and this is where you would alight from the airport. This stop also serves Seville, Granada, Ronda and all major towns in the Malaga province.
This is a beautiful part of the Coast, and the apartment at Torrox Costa is an excellent base from which to see it.
