The situation is superb - quiet, beautiful views, no humidity or mosquitoes (I suppose they can't fly that high) and a fine house. As you said, George would be on hand if required and we met them two or three times. They are a fine couple and easy to get on with. The house still needs a little finishing off and they have plans for this work after the season finishes. However, that was a minor point and did not detract from the universal enjoyment the family had - especially the younger element in the pool! It started at Paphos airport where our Hire Car was delivered. The new shape Rav 4, 5 door was perfect for our requirements. Ideal for 4 adults with all the luggage. You must persuade Cy-Breeze to add more to their fleet. We took a leisurely drive to Lysos giving a bit of a guided tour to my sister and her husband who had never been to Cyprus before let alone a 2 week villa holiday. The road from Polis to Lysos was a big shock - will they ever finish, we were told that they must have it completed by 26th September, so hopefully the tarmac is down with nice white lines running down the middle, double yellow lines and so on and so on. Anyway we accepted this as part of our holiday. I did feel sorry for the occupants of villa Louisa as the works were right upto their entrance - it must have been very dusty. We arrived at villa - more than we could have expected, although having said that, I should've known it was going to be good, having been shown round villa Nicholas by George on our last visit to Cyprus. Villa was ideal because for 2 couples it was so spacious - thank you for the welcome pack, just what we needed when we arrived. The views were fantastic, although we were disappointed that we couldn't see the sea. I was even joking with George about it - and he took in good fun. But then we had a day of rain - I think we were going to the mosaics in Paphos that day, which cleared the mist in the distance and from that day we were never without a perfect seaview - brilliant. We were also honoured with the presence of the wildlife - swallows drinking from the swimming pool, huge bats flying around at night and some Bee Eaters flying around below us. We alternated between chilling around the pool one day and touring the next. But we always ate out in the evenings - so many good restaurants, too many to mention in this communication. We ate mainly in Polis in the evenings, twice in Annas in Lysos, fantastic food and such good value - During the day we would simply eat wherever we were on that day and never had a bad meal, some interesting ones but never bad! Unfortunately although we passed your friends restaurant in Simou a couple of times, no one was there apart from the builders and the dogs - it's going to be some place when it's finished - maybe by the next time we visit. So all in all it was a great holiday. Finally, as I said earlier, my sister and her husband had never been to Cyprus before have said this was one of few holidays that they have been on that they would love to repeat again. Hi Irene Just a short note to say we have returned to this lovely British weather after our stay in Cyprus at Villa . We found George to be the most gracious of hosts and cannot praise the house and location enough! Our first time in Cyprus and I hope not our last. The car hire company met us as promised. We also met some brits staying in Villa Nicholas and spent some great nights with them at Anna's' bar eating (and drinking) into the early hours. Having see Villa being built when we stayed in Peristerona 2 years ago we were delighted to have been able to book it this year after the birth of our 2nd son last year prevented us from travelling. We have just returned from 2 weeks there and I cannot say enough what an excellent retreat it has been for us, our close friend and also our family of 4 children ranging from ages 15 years down to 13 months!! George have high standards in both their Villas and provide all modern amenities. Villa Neovi has a dishwasher, large fridge freezer, various bathroom facilities including a W.C. and shower room outside for straight from the pool use. Externally the pool is clean & well laid out with a gentle set of steps down into it & the BBQ area and sink are well laid out for many an al fresco evening. Internally the Villa is extremely well though out & provides privacy in terms of bedrooms and bathrooms both upstairs and down. The kitchen is spacious and lacks nothing and the dining and lounge area are very spacious and cool during then daytime. The standard of d飯r is pleasing and the cleanliness one expects from George is well maintained by Maria the cleaner who speaks excellent English. Lysos itself is just paradise to those who want a simple, uncomplicated break from an otherwise hectic lifestyle. Being high up the breeze travels through the village most of the daytime hours and is especially noticeable at Villa Neovi being on the very edge of the village. This makes the incredible heat of the Cyprus sun in August extremely bearable & we have all come back with better tans this year as a result of the breeze rather than the sun. The view of the sea you get from Villa Neovi is superb and we saw some incredible sunsets over the surrounding hills and countryside which we took some lovely shots of for our photo wall to dream about for the rest of the year! The Cypriot locals were as ever the most helpful & generous people we have ever met. My husband was stopped on one of his walks by one of the locals and given some figs to try just because it was an extremely hot day. Our resident neighbours would regularly come & make a fuss over our young sons and shout Yassou as we passed. The local town Polis hasn't changed over the past 4 years we have been coming. Even the staff in the Taverna's are the same which says how contented the way of life seems to be. George & Neovi were as gracious hosts as they always are nothing is too much trouble even though they are both even busier than usual with Georges new job, their beautiful new daughter Georgia due to return to a new job the week after our return. Needless to say we cannot recommend Lysos highly enough as a place to stay with it's quiet Taverna's, well stocked local supermarket and it's accessibility to both Paphos Town and Polis area. Both Villa Nikolas & Villa Neovi have been seen by us & are excellent. We would give them a high rating to anyone as we totally trust George & Neovi in all the dealings we have ever had with them. Car hire as ever though George & Nik at CyBreeze was impeccable. The transfer taxi from Larnaca was carried out by their next door taxi rank and the driver Sammi was a very entertaining driver who we feel we made a friend of. All in all we just have no complaints apart from the fact that we have to wait another year before we can be there again!!!!! Huge, huge thanks for all your organisation on our behalf. We even saw Kelly Holmes & some of the other Olympic Athletes at Larnaca airport as a bonus to our holiday and flew back to Heathrow with non other than Peter Andre!!! Not bad eh!! Accommodation: 1 - double bedroom downstairs, with its own toilet and walk in shower (all doors leading to this specific bedroom, toilet and shower are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.) 3 bedrooms upstairs. Of the three bedrooms, one has twin beds, with French doors leading to the balcony. The remaining 2 bedrooms have double beds, and one has an en-suite bathroom & w.c and French doors leading to same large balcony as the twin-bedded room. From the balcony, one has a view of the pool area, of the sea and the surrounding hills. There is also a 3rd bathroom upstairs, with a shower, jacuzzi and w.c. A 4th shower/ w.c is located outside the house, within easy access from the pool area. Fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
