Historical Cooktown, home of the wild 1880's goldrush days and the place where Captain James Cook repaired his ship "The Endeavour", is also withing a 1/2 days drive.

About DivingScuba Diving on the Great Barrier Reef is one of the main attractions in this fantastic area. A vast range of boats leave daily from Port Douglas, Cairns and Cape Tribulation to the Outer Barrier Reef for snorkelling and scuba diving. All boats accept PADI diving qualifications.
Prices start from AUS $100 per person per day and additional dives are much cheaper. All scuba diving gear is supplied.
