Le Vignault is a beautifully renovated and well equipped 19th century 3 bedroom gite. Furnished to a high standard with original oak beams whilst providing modern facilities. Situated in a tiny rural hamlet, it is surrounded by the picturesque landscape of the Poitou Charente, which in the summer is ablaze with endless fields of sunflowers.
Le Vignault offers spacious accomodation with lots of character for six, or eight using a sofabed.
The pool is new, it is 10m x 5m and is shared with our house. The garden is approximately an acre where children can safely play ping-pong, boules, badminton etc. There is a large private barbeque area for you to relax and enjoy good food and good wine with superb countryside views.
We also have a selection of family bikes available for hire.
We have all enjoyed it here so much that we have moved here permanently. Local Area Details

We are in an area of outstanding beauty that has many diverse attractions throughout the year.
There are fishing lakes with boating facilities only 10 minutes away and the beautiful old town of La Rochelle with it's sandy beaches and water sports are within an hour's drive.
You can also take a leisurely boat trip on the Marais Poitevin, or Green Venice which is 45 minutes away and makes a wonderful day out.
Our immediate countryside and woods are ideal for walkers and offer extensive routes for cyclists (off and on road !!)
The countryside also offers a stunning location for photographers and artists.
Only 10 minutes away there are horse riding facilities at Melle and there is a golf course within half an hour's drive.
Futuroscope, Europe's largest science park is under an hour away.
We have many local villages of historical and architectural interest and for wine tasting, Bordeaux and Cognac are only an hour away.
We are situated just a few miles from St Maixent L'Ecole, Celles sur Belle and Melle which offer shops, supermarkets and local produce markets selling the region's specialities, Goats Cheese and Pineau Charente.
For the serious shoppers, our nearest large towns are Niort (25 mins), La Rochelle (60 mins) and Poitiers (45 mins).
