Property Details of Costa de la Luz Gite

This lovely studio chalet is in "La Coquina", an area just north of Chiclana de la Frontera. This is the place to go if you want to see the real Spanish countryside, but still be within a few minutes drive of all amenities and a 10 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of La Barrosa and Sancti Petri. The chalet is 200 metres away from the edge of the local natural park, which attracts many migrating birds and is a specially protected area. Avid birdwatchers will know this area well. Chiclana has all the facilities expected in a thriving Spanish town. From its colourful indoor food market, restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping, through to its traditional bullring.
The Accommodation:
Bedroom: Studio layout, will sleep up to four.
Bathroom: Tiled walk in shower, toilet and washbasin.
Kitchen: Two electric rings, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle.
Living area: Dining table seating four, T.V. and D.V.D.
Towels/Linen: Iron, ironing board, towels and linen are included. For stays of longer than one week, fresh towels and linen will be provided on a weekly basis.
Outside: The chalet has its own garden with various fruit trees, palm tree, table & chairs and barbecue. Access is also available to a large roof top terrace with views across the natural park to the town of San Fernando in the distance.
'Welcome pack' can be provided: tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, low fat spread, jam, fresh fruit, orange juice and a bottle of "Cava" (Spanish Champagne).

Local Area Details

Climate: Hot summers and short mild winters.
Coast/Beaches: La Barrosa beach is just a few minutes drive from Chiclana and has been awarded the prestigious clean seas 'Blue Flag' every year since this programme was founded. At over 8km long, with its clean golden sand and gently sloping beach, La Barrosa beach is where the Spanish people choose to holiday. There are also plenty of restaurants, caf�/bars and pastry shops to suit most tastes. Chiclana: This traditional Spanish resort town has pedestrianised cobbled streets, lined with cafes and shops. The river 'Iro' running through the middle of the town; lovely architecture and churches with stork nests on top. A bustling indoor food market, a bullring and a weekly outdoor market. Chiclana is a prosperous working town with all the facilities you would expect.
Getting Here: Jerez de la Frontera is the closest airport and is a 45 minute drive away. It is currently serviced (Daily Flights) by the budget airline 'Ryanair ' from London Stansted amongst many other airlines and routes. Gibraltar airport is about a 95 minute drive away and is serviced by Monarch airlines from London Luton and British Airways from London Gatwick. Seville is another flight option at about 90 minutes. Although further away, a wider choice and cheaper flights are available to both Malaga (Spain)- 2 hours drive, and Faro (Portugal) - 4 hours drive.
Things to do and see: Visit Cadiz, the oldest city in Europe. Just 30 minutes drive. Visit Jerez, the home of sherry, with a visit to a Bodega. Just 30 minutes drive. Visit Morocco (Tangier), 35 minutes ferry crossing from Tarifa, approximately �30 return. Windsurfing, jet ski and boat trips all available locally. Water park at Puerto Santa Maria. Just 30 minutes drive. Fiestas and carnivals at different times throughout the year.
Golf; there are many courses within a 10 - 20 minute drive, including one designed by Severiano Ballesteros. Whale and Dolphin Watching
National parks, indoor swimming pool, bird watching, and shopping malls.
