Just half an hours drive from Rodez Airport, Le Refuge de Rouffenac is a collection of traditional stone built dwellings set in its own grounds in the beautiful, largely undiscovered Aveyron Department of South West France.

Le Refuge is the perfect location to unwind from the pressure and stresses of mordern living.

We have 3 fully equiped gite apartments and 2 bed and breakfast rooms, all furnished to a high standard, ample car parking and a range of modern facilities to suit all.

Our gites are fully equipped with refrigerator, cooker, microwave, iron and ironing board, television, all the utensils you will need and should you require it, central heating. Each of our three gites has its own private terrace equipped with a canopy and terrace furniture.

We have two 'en suite' chambre d' hote bedrooms which are large, comfortable and airy.

At the disposal of all of our guests is a washing machine and tumble drier.

During your stay, why not take advantage of our large swimming pool, which is slightly heated and is tiled with large roman steps for easy access. Whether you are in the mood for a vigorous swim or a gentle dip, this is the ideal place.

If you just feel like taking it easy, why not enjoy some blissful relaxation in the Jacuzzi, which is attached to the side of the pool. For our guests? utmost comfort, we also provide loungers and umbrellas. If you wish you can simply relax by the pool with a book and enjoy refreshments from our pool house. The pool area also has shower and toilet facilities for your convenience.

The Tranquil setting of La Refuge is an ideal base for exploring the Aveyron and all it's many wonders and delights.
There are 17 dams in the Aveyron, creating vast lakes and reservoirs, offering you a wide variety of water based activities. There are a number of nautical bases welcoming both sports fans and nature lovers. These centres provide facilities for canoeing, kayaking, rafting, and water-skiing. You can go fresh-water fishing on the shaded banks of the Aveyron's Rivers and lakes.
There are hundreds of miles of well-maintained footpaths for the rambler to discover truly breathtaking scenery and the network of cycling routes is so rich; you can cycle around the Aveyron on bicycle or mountain bike.
