Casa da Madrinha was built about 150 years ago, in traditional region style. It has been renovated as a vacation property to include modern day comfort, and consists of one double bed room, loft/mezannine with a double bed, living room with TV and dining area, fully equipped kitchen (hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, wash machine) with a traditional wood oven and bathroom. Outside, one finds a BBQ and enough place to enjoy open-air meals.

The island is composed of two volcanic massifs separated by a central ridge of a lower altitude. The large craters of Sete Cidades, Fogo and Furnas contain wonderful lakes of crystal-clear water. The island is situated at 250º 30' West longitude and 370º 50' North latitude.
