Coin is famous for its local ceramics and has been a thriving market town since roaman times. The Coin Romeria visits Puente Pereila on the first Saturday in June and about 2,00 glasses of sherry are given to local horsemen and people. The ferrias of Coin and Monda are held during the middle weeks of August. Marbella and neaby Puerta Banus are 19km from the house. There are nearby lakes for walking and Refuigo de Juanar is perfect for watching Eagles soar in the afternoon heat.
