Local Area DetailsA long white sandy beach is within walking distance and much enjoyed by sunbathers and surf swimmers alike. During winter the Southern Right whales can be seen from the coastal path near the house. Kleinmond is surrounded by Nature Reserves and is in the centre of the Cape Floral Kingdom boasting over 1500 endemic floral species. There are two excellent gold courses nearby. Seasonal changes bring unique experiences. Winter and Spring - flowers and Whales; Summer and spring - Beach, sun and wonderful hiking trails into the surrounding mountains. Kleinmond is 100 km from Cape Town so that day visits to the mother city are easy. The Cape winelands are easily accessible.
