Come and discover a village just south of Minervois, 3 kms. from the Canal du Midi. The sea nearby will refresh you; otherwise, not far from Le Couvent are marvellous and interesting historical castles, monuments and cathedrals. This is the sunniest part of France; often boasting 300 days of sunshine a year. Ouveillan is also wonderfully served by 3 Airports: Carcassonne, Montpelier and Perpignan; Carcassonne being the nearest. Martine & Gérard Canderlé own Le Couvent, a converted private school. The gite is all on the ground floor and has a garden with patio and the possibility of having barbecues outside in the garden terrace. There is also a small pool "piscine hors sol" in the garden of the main building, which you can use between May thru' October. The living/dining room is large and comfortable, with the kitchen tucked in a corner. There is a large chimney, for use on those chilly evenings! The kichen is perfectly equipped and has ceramic hobs, oven, micro-wave and a fridge/freezer. There is also a washing machine. There are three bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other two with twin beds and the gite has a complete bathroom, with bath.
