Local Area DetailsRock Lodge is a beautifully decorated newly constructed dormer bungalow. Completed in December 1999 it features modern warm wooden flooring throughout. Sited on one third of an acre of fully landscaped gardens with rockery.
Situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Corofin, with traditional music and dance nights.
Ideal for touring, especially the Burren National Park, Walking, Cycling (bicycles can be hired locally), Pot Holing, Pony Trekking.
Corofin is located on the R476, 50 minutes drive from Shannon International Airport, 15 minutes north of Ennis and 1 hours drive from the vibrant and traditional city of Galway.
Rock Lodge is situated directly behind the grotto on the edge of the village and is 700 meters from the post office, shop's, restaurant, Clare Heritage Centre and the Genealogical Research Unit.

County Clare is bordered on the West side by the Atlantic Ocean. Miles and miles of sandy beaches are but a short drive away.
Seaworld is located in Lahinch. Indoor swimming pool with slides. Ideal for the children and the young at heart.
Kilkee is another seaside town with a horseshoe shaped bay very safe for swimming. Amusement arcades, novelties, diving, water activities, water world and rock pools make Kilkee a favourite destination for many. Spectacular cliff views.

Touring
The Burren natural park is located adjacent to Corofin. Featuring a landscape that has been likened to the moon, the Burren was created by glacial deposits as the last ice age retreated. Well worth a visit.
The Cliffs of Moher and the Aillwee Caves are also spectacular and a must see when in this part of the world.

All along the coast up to galway and there are also 5 local lakes for fishing pike and trout.
