Our garden is at your disposal for your relaxation, or to partake in afternoon tea, or to watch the vegetables of the day being picked!

On cooler days you can relax in our conservatory, borrow a book or two or even snooze to while the time away until aperitif hour approaches!
Our speciality is helping you to have a memorable holiday and to this effect we provide a warm ambience with the high-light of the day being our five course gourmet dinners, shared with ourselves and our other guests. In summer we have our dinner parties in our shaded court yard, during the cooler months in front of a cosy log-fire in our magnificent oak-beamed salon.

We pride ourselves in good eating, using fresh ingredients from our garden or from nearby markets. All the food is professionally prepared, fresh on a daily basis - no "if it's Monday it'll be chicken" with us.
Our menus vary according to the season and are sumptuous but well balanced. Our dinners are accompanied by our very pleasant house wine, followed by coffee or tea to wind up the evening under the stars or chatting around the fire.
Many of our guest's favourite dishes feature in our recipe booklets we have compiled by popular requests, you can then re-create your "Le Jaonnet" dinner parties at home and impress your friends.

As a bonus, especially for the ladies, there is no cooking, shopping or cleaning to do when you stay with us! It is all done for you, and more likely than not staying with us will cost you less per person than staying in a gite, where you have to do all the work yourself.

As well as that you can start and finish your stay at any day of the week, you will not be tied to week-end change-over dates, thus you may benefit from cheaper travelling arrangements.

Local Area Details

Within five minutes from us you can be at our lovely leisure lake with a sandy beach and safe bathing or on the Dordogne river with its many beaches, for swimming or canoeing.

We are within easy driving distance from (a radius of no more than 30 miles) many of the attraction for which the Perigord region in the Dordogne is rightly famous.

The wonderful river itself of course dominates the country side, along its banks you will find numerous chateaux, many open for visits. Many caves, Lasceaux and Gouffre de Padirac being the most famous, but also lots of smaller ones of pre-historic and geological interest are dotted throughout the surrounding area.

There are picturesque and medieval towns, wonderful markets, pretty villages, vineyards, interesting gardens at virtually every turn of the road.

The Dordogne region is charming not only during the summer months, but also early in the season, April, May and June as well as September and October offer many interesting aspects to the enjoyment of the area, less traffic, fewer queues at the main attraction, different seasonal produce in the markets and on our menus!

Two golf courses are within easy reach, as is a tennis court, horse riding, fishing, a very good cycle track, many interesting walks through the wooded country side, even hot-air ballooning is close by and scenic flights are available from Domme.
