On the ground floor, there's a large country-style kitchen-dining area with a table that seats 12, a modern Godin cooker plus an electric cooker and oven, a microwave oven, a roomy refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The kitchen is amply equipped with dishes and cooking equipment. A utility room off the kitchen houses a washer, a dryer, a large stand-alone freezer (helps to cut down on those grocery runs!), a separate WC and a large tank-type water heater... plenty for hot showers! There's also an attractive lounge/living room with wood-burning stove equipped with a full-service entertainment center (DVD player and wide-screen TV with satellite reception of British channels (Sky Digital). The lounge opens up to a newly constructed conservatory/solarium that in turn leads to the terrace and pool deck, providing wonderful views of the surrounding wood-studded meadows. When you drive in through the private gate, you'll find yourself in a lovely stone courtyard between the large attached barn and a small mill house with an impressive 19th century millstone and press that were used for making walnut oil. The entrance to the house from the courtyard is up several steps through a charming archway that gives onto the terrace and pool area. The pool is solar-heated, 9 x 4.5 m, meets all French safety standards, and is regularly maintained. Pool and patio furniture is provided. And did we mention the barbecue?
