Local Area Details

Other than a wide range of golf clubs on the Costa del Sol, the area has many other attractions to offer. For historic trips visit Malaga, Granada, Ronda, Gibraltar, Seville and Cordoba. Closer to home (700m) Tivoli World amusement park offers many rides and live shows and has a typical Andalusian square where live flamenco and other Spanish folklore dances are performed. The Mount Camorro Cable Car is also nearby and from the top of the mountain there are fantastic views of the Costa as well as Africa on a clear day. The Torrequebrada Hotel and Casino offers dinner, dancing, floor shows and gaming. The aquapark and minigolf is fabulous for children and at the Puerto Marina you can visit the Sealife Centre or take a variety of day excursions by boat. Horse riding is available at El Ranchito (700m from the house).
The local area. Villa situated in Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmadena) - beautiful quiet place between Benalmadena Costa and Benalmadena Pueblo. Nearest supermarket - 500m. The Benalmadena beaches (Arroyo de la Miel, Malapesquera and Fuente de la Salud) with all bars, restaurants and disco is in 5-15 min by the car. In any case it's better to rent a car because You can visit all beaches and in addition to the usual holiday attractions Benalmadena is ideally situated for touring Andalucia. Ronda, Marbella, Sotogrande and other resorts are close by, and it is an easy drive to Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba and Gibraltar. Close to the villa are many other sporting facilities in addition to golf, including tennis, horse riding and of course a full range of water sports.

Golf Information. There are numerous local golf courses to choose from and many internationally famous for the tournaments they have held, including the Ryder Cup. The entire area is a golfer’s paradise with over 45 courses within easy reach. The concentration of quality courses, the unique sunny and warm climate, and the hospitality of the local people make the area absolutely ideal for lovers of this sport. When Valderrama was chosen to host the Ryder Cup, the Costa Del Sol received world-wide recognition as being 'the best winter golf resort in Europe'. Nearest golf course - 1200m.

Yachting and Skiing Puerto Marina (Benalmadena) is the luxury port in Spain. Located 10 minutes drive from the villa. The marina complex, voted the best marina in the world, with berths for 1.000 sailing and motor pleasure yachts, has a typical selection of high street shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes from snack bars & pizzerias, to fine dining. State-of-the-art discotheques and music bars provide entertainment for all age groups. The Sea Life aquarium is one of their best attractions. We are in a position where it is pleasant to eat lunch outside in the sun on most winter days, but about two hours drive and 2,000 metres higher are the more than adequate ski slopes of Sierra Nevada. If you would like to ski one day and laze in the sun the next day it is ideal. The Sierra Nevada hosted the 1999 World Championships and offers 6 green, 24 blue, 26 red and 4 black slopes in altitude from 2,100 to 3,300 m. It has artificial snow when necessary and is the most southerly skiing in Europe.

Golf Information There are 35 golf courses within one hours drive of the villa. The local championship course at Torrequebrada is in 10 min by car (1200m).
