Traditional style, fully restored stone built terraced house on three levels. Situated on the edge of a working farm and next to owners home. The property sits in the wooded hills near to the delightful town of Castres, with all its amenities, in the Midi-Pyrenees area of Tarn. The area is renowned for its natural beauty, walks and history together with its wildlife.

Sleeps 4 adults comfortably.
Accommodation comprises :-
Ground floor:- Garage / storage area with washing machine.
First floor :- Main door to lounge / dining room with television, dvd player, dining table & chairs, sofas. French doors to small balcony.
Kitchen with gas cooker & oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine. Shower room with wash basin and WC.
Stairs to second floor.
Second floor :- Mezzanine sitting area with single bed. Single bedroom and double bedroom.
The house has electric heaters throughout.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
There is a small detached garden area with BBQ.

Local Area Details

Situated in southern France, Tarn is wedged up against the Pyrenees, an intensely sunny, hidden corner of France, just under two hour's drive from the Mediterranean beaches and a short hop from either Carcassonne or Toulouse airports, where there is a dazzling array of frequent, cheap flights from many UK local airports.

Castres
Castres, located between the «Sidobre» area and the «Montagne Noire» (Black Mountain), has completely renovated its man-made brick and sandstone architectural heritage spanning the river Agout. The old «Palais des Evêques» (Bishop's Palace) houses the Goya Museum boasting the largest collection of 14th century Spanish art after the Louvre Museum in Paris, including three masterpieces by Goya.

Albi
Albi deserves the title of «pink city» just as much as Toulouse does, bricks also being omnipresent in its architecture. On top of the charm of its old pedestrian areas, it also has exceptional monuments and works of art among which the «Musée Toulouse-Lautrec» housed in the sumptuous «Palais de la Berbie». The 1,000 or more works that are kept there make it the largest public collection in the world with 215 paintings and every one of the artist's posters.
Le Sidobre lies within the Haut Languedoc National Park, only a short distance east of Castres. Expect a big, serene landscape of granite, covered with curious monoliths such as the Peyro Clabado or the Three Cheeses, with fragrant, herb-scented hills and sunken stony valleys. Sidobre is over 285 million years old and the purity of blue granite found in this area has made it the home of an important industry in France:
