La Haute Barberie is a delightfully restored development of three houses in large grounds set at the end of a long driveway in a peacefull valley. The village is one mile away and is midway between Mortain a delightfull hilltop town and St Hilaire du Harcouet a larger town that has one of the biggest street markets in the area each Wednesday.
The Farmhouse is very well equiped with a modern kitchen that has a large range cooker, fridgefreezer, dishwasher and microwave etc,large refectory dining table, woodburning stove etc. This being a large property is the ideal focal point for large parties when the other two houses are booked as well, with catering size equipment and space to put up to three tables together some memorable parties have been enjoyed by up to 25 people.
The Cottage is about 60 metres away in the lower field and on the ground floor has a kitchen,utility room with toilet and lounge /dining room with french windows leading out on to a large terrace with views over the wildflower meadow.Upstairs we have two double bedrooms one with a single chair bed and one with a vanity unit and small bedroom with two single beds suitable for children or small adults, shower/wetroom and seperate toilet.
The Poolside Apartment has family bedroom on the ground floor with a double and bunk beds a bathroom with toilet, kitchen dining area and lounge area with full height ceiling looking up to a gallery with two further double rooms with ensuite toilet/shower rooms.The woodburner feeds heat to underfloor pipes to give really snug warm winter evenings.French windows lead out to a large terrace area with steps leading down to courtyard garden.
Outside is a large lawned area and two pools, one being a small kiddies pool with a slope leading down into the main pool. Another two properties, The Cottage and the Poolside Apartment on the site means large parties of up to 23/25 may holiday together and enjoy special occasions.

Local Area Details

The beutiful waterfalls at Mortain are a must to visit, the lakes and theme park near St Hilaire. Enchanted village at Bellefontaine. Fosse Arthur & lakes near Domfront.The copper and brass town of Villeideu les Poules and Zoo nearby. The seaside and yachting centre of Granville with beutifully empty beaches all the way down to Avranche and of course the must see historic site at Mont St Michel,St Malo old walled city as is Fougere and Dinan. 4 golf courses and exellent fishing all within easy reach.
