This recently renovated family house caters for young and old alike. The accommodation offers a large family lounge with ample comfortable seating for 10 people with satelite English television etc. The kitchen is light and airy and well equipped. The Dining room overlooks the rear garden and has a large opening window to let in the sun, fresh air and the sound of singing birds. There is a bathroom with w.c. on the same level. Upstairs you will find one room with a double bed, ensuite shower/wc and a small single side bedroom. A single bedroom with wash basin and a twin room with ensuite/wc. A cot and a fold away bed are also available. From the kitchen is a staircase which leads to the basement which houses the utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities. A door leads into the garden room which has a few childrens toys cane sofa and chair etc. The back door takes you into a patio area with garden table, chairs and a barbecue and a good sized lawn area surround by fencing, shrubs and trees.
THERE IS A SMALL GITE WITHIN THE GROUNDS WITH ITS OWN ENCLOSED GARDEN SHOULD THE HOUSE BE TOO SMALL OR TOO LARGE FOR YOUR PARTY. CONTACT FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

Local Area Details

Central Brittany offers some of the most beautiful scenery in France. Lakes, canals and stunning countryside for you to enjoy.
The village of Caurel is situated in Central Brittany and is less than a mile from the shores of the Lac de Guerledan. There is something for everyone to enjoy here; beaches, picnic spots, play areas, water sports, bars, restaurants,bars, crazy folf or peaceful walks. Nearby towns and villages have much to offer; Mur de Bretagne has a beautiful church and an evening market along with plenty of eateries. Bon Repos is home to an abbey and yet another wonderful French market. The town of Pontivy is also nearby and offers, amongst other things, larger shops if you desire and a golf course. The local facilities include tennis, cycling/mountain biking, fishing, water sports and more.

The local store approximately 500m from the house caters for English and French alike or there is a supermarket in Mur de Bretagne 3km along with the small market at Bon Repos on Sunday mornings

There is walking for everybody along the old railway cutting, through the woods, around the lake are through the local gorges

It is possible to fish in the lake and the nearby Brest-Nantes Canal. Fishing equipment can be hired from the local hotel/bar/restaurant within 500m from the house

About Golfing

The nearest golf course is a 9 hole course and is within 30 km. Minigolf/crazygolf is located beside the lake and in the nearby town only 3km away

About Beaches

Lac de Guerledan has several small beaches which are clean and safe for young children and adults alike. The nearest beach has an area for safe swimming
