This 17th century holiday home stands at the entrance to the pictureques Old Town of Monschau.
The nearest large town is Aachen with its high class shopping,catherdral, arts events and casino. Maastricht in Holland und Liege in Belgium are also less than 50 minutes away.
The Nuerburg Ring race track is further into the Eifel about 1 hours drive and a little further you can visit the Rhein, the Mosel and Luxembourg.
However the town of Monschau itself is a beautiful 17. century gem with many activties and cultural events like the Open Air Opera at the castle, Jazz Festival, Christmas Market to name but a few.
There is a near by lake for sailing and swimming

Immediately opposite is the car park (Parkhaus) Seidenfabrik, which means you won’t have to carry your luggage very far. (Guests in holiday accommodation in the Old town pay 2 Euros per day. A ticket for several days is pre bookable or available from the tourist information. If you can only stay for a day or two just use the machine in the car park.

Mrs Hüpgen (who lives next door at Laufenstrasse 33, Tel. no. on the back page) will now give you the key and take you to the apartment.

In this **** holiday apartment for non smokers you will find the following:

A very big sitting room with a comfortable corner settee, TV, DVD player. If you would like to listen to music just insert a CD into the DVD player.

There is a selection of DVD films in several languages available, which guest can use free of charge.

There is also a selection of paperbacks in two languages available down stairs in the hall, as well as a collection of games and writing paper and utensils in the sitting room. At the dining end of the sitting room we have a realistic electric fire place, so in winter you can eat, watch TV or just relax by the fire.
Additionally we have a large hall with wardrobe, a cottage kitchen with all necessary equipment, two romantic bedrooms and a bathroom including shower.
