La Bihourderie is a 13th century farmhouse draped in ivy and full of character. White shutter windows peek out from this picturesque one-story home, further enhanced by a very steep roof which is prettily accented by gabled windows. La Bihourderie is situated in the heart of the Loire Valley, making it an ideal place to stay to visit the many chateaux and gardens that the area has to boast.
The house has won several prizes for its beuatifully tendered, colourful flower gardens which are surrounded by fields of wheat.
Each of the comfortable and cosy bedrooms has a private shower or bath room and is named after, and its decoration inspired from, a Van Gogh painting. They share a large sitting room equipped with a kitchen area.
Local Area DetailsTouraine is known as the "garden of France" and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Apart from the famous "Châteaux de la Loire", the homes of Famous French writers and numerous Abbeys, the Touraine region has so much else to offer. Other activities close by are; fishing, walking, tennis, canoeing, golf, horse-riding and cycling.
