Commanding beautiful views of the sea and the hills, the self catering cottages are just 12 minutes walk from 2 miles of sandy beach
and are situated in the quiet crofting community of Dalchalm which lies 1 mile North of Brora.

There are a other wonderfull sandy beaches to explore in the area. Great for children and dogs. "Quiet". The locals are friendly.
The village itself is one hour North of Inverness and a hour and a quarter South of John O` Groats,
which makes for an excellent base to tour the Northern Scottish Highlands.

There is a lot to offer the visitor, most notable is the majestic and breathtaking scenery.
The rugged grandeur is both beautiful and overwhelming.
Sutherland is one of Scotlands best kept secrets and really has to be experienced at first hand.
It is pleasure to drive in this part of the world with hardly any traffic
Also a place where it is easy to just go for a walk. Sutherland has less restriction on walkers. A less fenced-in areas making it easy to roam. Lower lying hills making access to the hills not so trying. Plenty of places to park and just go for a stroll.

We also boast of one of the least rainfalls in UK. Check this out through UK weather rainfall Also less MIDGES which make for a more enjoyable holiday. This is the kind of place you do not want to leave.

There are lots of single track roads in the area meandering for several hundreds of miles.
Passing places are well placed at every quarter mile or so.
The scenery on these roads is breathtaking so makes for an enjoyable adventure exploring the Scottish Highlands.

There is little traffic on these roads but if someone is following you do be courteous and let them pass at the next passing place.
It is also the law on single track roads, you never know it could be a Doctor or nurse on call.

Where you can see Peregrines, Golden Eagles, Red Kites, Buzzards, Hen Harriers, Merlins,
Sparrowhawks, Ospreys also nest here, Otters, Seals on beach, Salmon jumping and herds of wild Red Deer.
This is truly a haven for a wide variety of wildlife.

You are most welcome to see the hawks and falcons during your stay at the cottages.
You will be spoilt for choice with all the local activities here. These include salmon fishing, on the rivers Brora and Helmsdale.
